The landscapes, the wildlife, and the vibrant culture touched me deeply – and I knew it was something too special not to keep to myself. That’s why I created Safari & the Girls, a journey for women to bond, explore, and give back while uncovering the true heart of Tanzania.

On this unforgettable expedition, we will explore the very best of Tanzania—immersing ourselves in vibrant African culture, witnessing breathtaking wildlife, and creating lasting memories with your girls. We will give back to inspiring community projects supporting local women through crafts, farming, and entrepreneurship, ensuring our adventure makes a meaningful impact while celebrating friendship, culture, and the beauty of Africa.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN TANZANIA
Welcome to Tanzania, ladies! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted and driven just five minutes to Kia Lodge. Take a refreshing dip in the pool or relax after your flight. Optional excursions include exploring Arusha town, wandering local markets, or visiting the stunning Chemka Hot Springs with their turquoise waters.
Enjoy your first evening together under African skies, sharing stories, laughter, and a delicious dinner. Arusha Safari Lodge is the perfect soft landing for your adventure, offering comfort, tranquility, and the excitement of what’s to come.

Dag 2: Kilimanjaro experience (Materuni & Chagga culture)
Efter frukost på Moivaro Lodge åker ni med ISABA SAFARI ADVENTURES mot Materuni Village, beläget vid foten av Mount Kilimanjaro. Resan tar cirka 1,5 timme och går genom ett grönt och frodigt landskap med kaffeplantager, bananodlingar och små byar där ni får en första känsla av livet på Tanzanias högland.
Vid ankomst möter ni lokala Chagga-guider som leder er genom byn och vidare in i regnskogen på väg mot den vackra Materuni Waterfall. Vandringen är cirka 3–4 km tur och retur och går genom kaffeplantager, bananträd och tät tropisk vegetation. Längs vägen får ni uppleva ett rikt fågelliv och den unika natur som gör Kilimanjaro-regionen så speciell.
Vid vattenfallet möts ni av ett spektakulärt fall som störtar ner i en klar, naturlig pool omgiven av grönskande djungel. Här finns tid att bada, ta bilder och njuta av den friska bergsluften medan guiden berättar om områdets natur och kultur.
Efter vattenfallsbesöket fortsätter ni till kaffeplantagen där ni får uppleva Chagga-folkets traditionella kaffekultur. Ni följer hela processen från plockning av kaffebär, rostning över öppen eld, malning med traditionella metoder och slutligen provsmakning av nybryggt, aromatiskt Kilimanjaro-kaffe.
Under besöket får ni även uppleva en av Chagga-kulturens mest unika traditioner – hemgjord bananöl (mbege), som bryggs på bananer och hirs och används vid sociala och kulturella sammankomster. Här får ni både smaka och lära er om dess betydelse i det lokala samhället.
Efter denna autentiska upplevelse serveras en lokal lunch i byn innan ni återvänder till Arusha och Moivaro Lodge för avkoppling och kvällsro.

DAY 3: Serengeti National Park (en-route game drive)
Journey to Ngorongoro Crater, a spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into the world’s largest intact caldera, teeming with wildlife including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and flamingos by sparkling lakes. The lush crater floor is perfect for close wildlife encounters. Later, explore coffee plantations around Crater Forest Tented Camp, learning about local cultivation and processing.
Capture unforgettable photos with your girlfriends against misty crater rims and rolling highlands. Enjoy dinner and drinks while reflecting on the beauty, wildlife, and sisterhood of this unique day—it’s a nature-filled, heartwarming experience.
HIGHLIGHT: Coffee Estate Tour
Being set in a coffee estate, take the tour to learn about how coffee is made. You will get the chance to walk around the coffee estate and see the process from start to finish.

DAY 4: Full day Serengeti game drive
After breakfast, head to Serengeti National Park, passing scenic highlands and Maasai villages. Serengeti’s endless plains are alive with wildlife—watch giraffes nibble treetops, zebras graze gracefully, and cheetahs lounge in the sun. Stop along the way for game viewing and photo moments.
In the evening, settle into Ikoma Tented Camp and share stories with your girls while the sunset paints the savanna in gold and pink hues. Optional activities include a guided walking safari or a quiet sunset drink together. Serengeti’s magic leaves everyone in awe.

DAY 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater (transit safari)
Spend the day exploring Serengeti National Park. Witness herds of wildebeest and zebras if you’re visiting during the Great Migration. Lions, leopards, and cheetahs roam freely, while colorful birds dot the plains. Capture laughter-filled moments and dramatic wildlife shots with your girlfriends. Your guide will take you to prime viewing spots, ensuring every turn reveals a new adventure.
The day blends excitement and breathtaking landscapes. In the evening, relax together under the African sky, enjoying dinner and drinks while sharing stories and photos from a day full of wonder and wildlife.

DAY 6: Lake Eyasi – Hadzabe & Datoga culture
Philanthropy takes center stage as you give back and connect with the local communities, remarkable projects empowering women through crafts, farming, and entrepreneurship. Learn about their inspiring work, shop unique handmade creations, and share your own skills to mentor or uplift someone, creating meaningful connections that last beyond your safari adventure.. Enjoy a glamorous picnic among giraffes, elands and zebras, complete with a fun photoshoot. TIP: long pastel dresses for this photoshoot.
Toast to sisterhood, relax with sundowners by the pool, explore coffee picking at the lodge, or visit the gift shop. End the evening with a celebratory dinner and gift exchange, cherishing unforgettable memories of your Safari & the girls’ adventure.
